Spanish Language Courses

The Vamos Curriculum

The Vamos Curriculum is ideal for Exploratory and/or Middle Grades Spanish language courses. It is comprised of 10 units. If all 10 units are used, instruction will fill one year of daily classes. Learn more here »

The Somos Curriculum

The Somos Curriculum is ideal for Middle and/or High School Spanish language courses. Somos 1 is a Novice program that fills up to two years of daily instruction (typically, Spanish 1 and 2), and Somos 2 is an Intermediate program that fills one year of daily instruction (typically, Spanish 2 or 3, depending on prior coursework). The Huellas Curriculum

The Huellas Curriculum is ideal for High School Spanish language courses. Huellas 1 is an Intermediate Low/Mid program that fills a year of daily instruction (typically, Spanish 3 or 4), and Huellas 2 is an Intermediate Mid/High program that fills a year of daily instruction (typically, Spanish 4 or 5). The Comprehensible Classroom does not publish an elementary program or a university-level program. Teachers have reported that they successfully use The Vamos Curriculum in fourth and fifth grade, and university educators routinely teach using Somos and Huellas.
