The Somos Student Workbook, Novice Spanish Units 1-9

We currently have our first edition of student workbooks available. It is for Somos 1 Units 1-9 and is intended for Year 1 classes using Somos.

Here are a few highlights, to provide you with an idea of what is and what is not included with this optional purchase:

• Curriculum License purchase is necessary. While it is possible to purchase the workbooks without owning the curriculum, you would not know what to do with them because you wouldn't have any of the teacher materials! 
• The workbook is intended to replace the need to make photocopies on-demand during the unit.
• The workbook includes all of the materials that are included in the Curriculum bundle between Units 1-9 (this means all of the supplemental items, such as Me llamo Ronaldo and ¿Qué hora es? in addition to just the units).
• The workbook also includes dictionary pages and blank storyboards to illustrate the stories in every unit.
• A few things are NOT included: assessments, song lyrics, answer keys, and any posters (like gallery walk posters) that the teacher would not be creating class sets of.

How much do they cost?

$25 per workbook. If you need help justifying the cost to your administrator, consider calculating how many photocopies you are making. The cost of the workbook will likely be very comparable!

Can I order fewer than 25 copies?

Is there a bulk discount available?

Is there a workbook for Year 2, Year 3, or French?

Not yet, but if there is demand we will absolutely compile them!

Can I request a preview?

What if I already purchased the curriculum?

Curriculum purchase is required to be able to use this workbook. This workbook does not replace the curriculum; it replaces the need to make so many photocopies on a weekly basis: the copies are already made for you in the workbook. If you have a limited photocopy budget but more funds available elsewhere (such as a textbooks budget or student supplies allotment), this workbook might be a better fit for you than making copies on demand.

What if it's cheaper for me to just make my own copies?

Great! It sounds like you don't need this workbook. We are so glad that the digital Somos files allow you to have a top curriculum at a budget price.

Can you ship the workbooks internationally?

Please reach out to our printer directly via their website to inquire about shipping to your international location. International orders cannot be placed through the general ordering site, but they will likely be able to process your request manually.
