The reality of a career in education today, particularly in the United States, is that too many teachers personally cover the cost of classroom supplies—including curriculum.

We don't believe that should be the norm. We believe schools should fund the materials teachers need, and we also want to support teachers who are paying out of pocket.

The Educator Assistance Discount helps make our curriculum more accessible to individual teachers using personal funds.

What is the Educator Assistance Discount?

The Educator Assistance Discount provides a reduction in the price of eligible curriculum products from The Comprehensible Classroom. It is only available for purchases made through our website.

The discount varies by product. Contact us before purchasing to request the discount code for the curriculum you would like to buy. The discount is available on the following products:

• Somos 1 Novice Curriculum
• Somos 2 Intermediate Curriculum
• Vamos Curriculum
• Nous sommes Curriculum

It is not available for individual units, partial curriculum bundles, or the Flex programs.

Who qualifies for the discount?

The discount is available to teachers purchasing curriculum for themselves using their own personal funds.

To qualify, you must meet all of the following criteria:

• You are a teacher purchasing materials for your own use.

• You are paying with personal funds, rather than school or district funds.

• You are purchasing a non-transferable license.

The discount is not available for purchases made with school or district funds, purchases made on behalf of another teacher, or transferable licenses.

Why doesn’t the discount apply to transferable licenses?

A transferable license is only available to schools, not individual teachers, and allows materials to be reassigned to another teacher under the terms of that license. The Educator Assistance Discount is intended to support an individual teacher’s personal purchase for their own use, so transferable licenses are not eligible.

How do I request a discount code?

Email info@comprehensibleclassroom.com before making your purchase. In your message, please:

• Tell us which curriculum product you would like to purchase.

• Confirm that you are a teacher purchasing for your own use with personal funds.

• Confirm that you are purchasing a non-transferable license.

Our team will help you with the appropriate discount code for your eligible purchase.

What if my school or district is paying?

We’re glad your school or district is funding your classroom materials! The Educator Assistance Discount is reserved for teachers paying with personal funds. If your purchase will be paid for or reimbursed by your school or district, it does not qualify.
