Can I transfer my curriculum license to another teacher?

Modified on Mon, 14 Jul at 7:47 AM

Whether or not you can transfer your license to another teacher depends on which license type you own:

Standard Licenses

By default, products created by The Comprehensible Classroom are for classroom use only. Each license allows ONE teacher to use the materials in his or her classroom. This purchase does NOT allow the product to be transferred to another teacher and/or to be retained by a school or department, even if the school or department was the purchaser.

Transferable Licenses

We also offer the option to purchase Transferable licenses. These licenses belong to the school or organization and can be transferred from teacher to teacher, within the organization, forever. Transferable licenses cost 40% more per license, and there is no limit on the number of times that it can be transferred. Transferable licenses are retained by the school or organization that purchased them and are assigned each year to teachers within that organization. As long as the number of teachers using the curriculum in a given year matches the number of licenses purchased, the school does not need to make any additional purchases. Transferring the licenses is permitted, but sharing (simultaneous use of a single license by multiple teachers) is not.
