Expressive Assessment Resources
Modified on Mon, 10 Feb at 2:21 PM
The Comprehensible Classroom advocates for teachers to use a standards-based approach to assessment. In language classes, this means using Summative Assessments to evaluate student performance in various communicative modes (interpersonal, presentational, interpretive) or skills (reading, speaking, listening, writing) as an indicator of their progress toward proficiency.
The following resources are available to support teachers in developing, administering, and grading expressive assessments (speaking and writing) in the interpersonal and presentational modes.
